I’ve had issues with Newsome, but overall he’s been a good Mayor and a good Governor. I’ll be happy to vote for him again in his future endeavors, which are likely to be DC based.

When he does stuff like this, it becomes a lot easier.

Why don't we ask our editrix if he's genuine or just a glamour boy?

AND he's ready to launch out in a million directions. Every day I see he's leading public attention to some new issue that is extra to his huge job. Unforgettably at this moment is California's launching lawsuits at this moment against the-- is it three?-- major oil companies. Because they knew-- back when I was dreaming about Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders-- that their activities were leading to a warming of the earth. But they kept silent, and denied it from that time to this.

I don't want to date the president, or go out with the president, I want someone serious who takes the very real threats of our time seriously, and Biden and Harris have been great on this. Newsom is out there being a great hype man, I'm glad he's doing it. As much push back as we can muster, from now all the way up to election day is needed. We have Buttegeig making heads explode on Fox, and Fetterman calling Rs jagoffs, and AOC cheerleading all the progressive shit, I am happy to see them all out there. Let's keep it up.

I also appreciate Biden taking the truth social posts, highlighting the confessions, and putting it out there on twitter. Good on them, and their social media team

What a sharp contrast to the chaos on the House floor this week...

I very much admire Newsom (except for his choice of wife #2), but I also much admire Biden. I expect Biden will outlive trump. Also, Biden is not warning us that trump would get us into World War II and announcing that Obama lost to trump in 2016. He's not publishing diatribes against liberal Jews. trump has always been loud and stupid, but he may be showing signs of true dementia at this point.

I'm a senior with senior friends. There comes a point where the number of functional years till your death is far more important than how many years you are away from your birth. That covers a wide range. Biden seems to be healthy both physically and mentally. And he accomplished wonders since his first Presidential election, back when people were already saying he was too old too run. They were wrong.

True. One reason I'm glad he's not running for President now is that we still need him in California.

The media just needs a "Dems in disarray" narrative to prop up republican "normalcy" because "both sides." It's as tiresome as it is destructive.

Yeah. It's definitely the House Dems who are in disarray.

I like Pete B for president as well.

Right after Joe is done.

We would need a Vice President, who would then be well prepared for his own run in 4 or 8 years.

And I hate to be the Negative Nelly here, but I ain't so sure Newsom is as attractive a national candidate as some people seem to think . . . I admit I haven't seen any recent nationwide polling on him, but I gotta believe a California Republican (Reagan) is an easier sell to 'Mainstream America' than a California Democrat . . . but we shall see about that - a few years down the road, if we're lucky . . . as Stephen says, for now, we need to stay focused on stopping MAGA in 2024 . . .

"but I gotta believe a California Republican (Reagan) is an easier sell to 'Mainstream America' than a California Democrat"

You only have to worry about selling a democratic candidate to democratic voters... I can't imagine ANY democrat who wouldn't love to have Newsom as POTUS...And there IS no 'center' anymore...The lines of scrimmage have been drawn and teams self selected...Anyone calling themselves a centrist or 'undecided' is lying to you about who they are and only members of ONE party do that...Notice that not ever in the history or Right vs Left has a leftie pretended to be a republican to hoodwink voters...But right wing trash does it ALL THE TIME...there is even a NAME for it...Blue Dog Democrat...Ever hear of a Red Dog Republican? No? It's because there is no such thing

Yes, because of his hair. He should get a crew cut. And act awkward maybe. I mean it! I don't mean he should do it but I mean lots of people assume he's a glamour boy, like they used to call JFK. An interesting thing about Newsome is that his growing up had well to do stretches and poor stretches. That's a useful background for a politician. Don't mean dirt-poor, but insecure and stressed out, I think.

I'm sanguine about all of this. We have a very DEEP BENCH that is available to us. Now is not the time to get cold feet! OHJB has the ability and some time left to straighten out the mess he was handed. We should talk up for what he has done and what is ahead for us. SOLIDARITY!

Democrats need to keep the White House for the next three election Cycles so that we can replace corrupt Supreme Court Justices Thomas, Alitoo, and Roberts when they die or become too ill to sit on the bench
