Yes, Marcie, we should know.

Only one thing to do: challenge every registered R. Cause you know they will challenge all the non-Rs

Lefty Georgian here. FWIW, his name is David Cowan and he's Kemp's ASL interpreter. Gallaudet grad, deaf (his term), and gay -- wowed 'em at Atlanta Pride in 2019 with his Beyoncé stylings. I'm a little vague on his politics, but at minimum he's pretty definitely not Klan-adjacent. The more you know ...

Can someone go into Republican strongholds and challenge Republican ballots? Without getting the crap beat out of them.

Expand full comment

I'm pretty sure that every Republican voter in Georgia really IS a lizard in a person suit, so I hereby challenge them all, en masse.

These rules are complete BS, but they will still have to disqualify a whole lot of dems just to make up for the numbers of their own voters they ganked-off with their science free COVID policies.

"Off with all of you, until the board of election reviews the challenge!"

If, that is, they ever get around to doing that.

There has been much fuckery with the USPS here in Georgia, as of late. I expect many mail in ballots never made it back for the primary.

Kemp really doesn't want a Blue Georgia. If that happened, he and his buddies would be gone for a *long* time.

Welp, I hope voting for Brian Kemp over Stacey Abrams (on the same ballot we brought in Sen. Warnock and Ossoff and delivered a win to Biden) was worth it! 'cause you know that would've been a sure veto!

Wonder what that was all about? After all I remember people dissing Kamala Harris in the runup to 2020, using some calipers on Harris' Blackness and measuring her as lesser than Stacey Abrams.

And that's why we have the Abrams Paradox.

The results of that election were so deeply disappointing to me.

I'm so sick of living in a state where half the population thinks any dunderhead white guy who didn't even know "asymptomatic carriers" are a thing in the course of making decisions in a global pandemic is better by default than a smart black woman who actually does her homework.

Expand full comment

has the Harris dissing ever stopped?

Expand full comment

Nope, mainly because she's too Black and female to be in such proximity to the Presidency. That's why we're hearing so much "JOe bIDeN iS OLd"

This is nothing but an electoral shit show entirely unbecoming of this republic's representative-democratic process.

Just what you'd anticipate from beneath contempt, traitor's taint affixed Kemp.

representative is key.

Kemp and his ilk will never feel represented enough, and in turn, all this relates to respectability politics.

RFK junior had a worm in his head that was eating his brain. He had to reveal that info in his divorce case in order to lower his alimony payments. And all I have to say is that explains alot!

Everything they think they are doing to suppress the urban black vote is much, much more effective at suppressing the rural elderly white vote.

Who are the only groups doing GOTV efforts in the rural South? Black churches.

Trump's gonna need every vote they can suppress. Did you notice Nikki Haley racking up 20%+ in the Indiana primary yesterday? That's as clear proof as anyone could want that there's a huge slice of voters who just can't stand Trump 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺. The motherfucker is just hemorrhaging support, and it's only going to get worse from now on, no matter how many justices or judges stupidly stick their necks out to protect him.

Also, they just cannot accomplish funny, ever.

Right now Trump is putting up numbers similar to George Bush did in 1992, and Clinton mopped the floor with him. And that was also with a considerable fraction of the Democratic base being pretty upset at the party.

Ds COULD combat this is they somehow squeak out a trifecta - though I'm sure the DCCC will do their level best to thwart that outcome.

Do a massive, rapid legalization program & anyone who is legalized is automatically qualified for naturalization (citizenship). Immigrants would show up on droves, and you'd never have a R majority again.

Unfortunately Rs have weaponized immigration so successfully that Ds would never do it. That plus all the racism.

The DCCC and the DNC have done pretty much everything right in the last three elections. There is absolutely no reason to think it will be different now, but two huge reasons Democrats might outperform expectations.
