Depression is a sneaky bastard. If you think you might need to see counselors, you probably do. If you are okay, you lose nothing. If you need more help, you can get it.
Sent him a few bucks last night. Normally I think the people in his state deserve what they get, but not this time. He looks like a good kid. I hope he takes that Perdue asshole down.
It's like New York - upstate begins wherever you decide a normal person wouldn't want to commute to Manhattan from. Back when I was working in Midtown in the late '80s my usual commute was 1:20 - 1:45 each way train time. It was actually pretty cool - I could read both my local paper and the NYT on the way in and then work on a book on the way home, while listening to CDs on the Discman both ways.
The Paulaner in Munich is my favorite place to drink beer in town, although the last time I went there they had new glasses that had that gold rim at the top that I find deeply unappealing somehow, as if it were giving off an electrical charge or something. Their cold pork platter is heavenly.
Actually, they really do have a lot of software engineering talent. Lots of their black-hat hackers could be turned into white-hats with sufficient -- and that's probably not that much -- funding.
It’s going to “decrease slightly” more in the next five weeks or so, too. Especially in Red States.
Mmmm. That voice.
I'm sorry. My condolences.

It would appear you have come to the right place at that.
Unfortunately, Lieberman son of Lieberman insists on staying in the race, splitting the Dem vote.
Linda, where did you find a brand new Range Rover for $14,000 ? Screw your fake job, I want the RR.
I suppose you feel the same way my wife did when my old man kicked.
My father disowned me and my sister, and I'm convinced it was because we both voted for Obama.

Hell, you should see the Hasidic communities near where I live. Their double helixes are turning into Möbius strips.

Like how everything out side of NYC (and maybe Albany) is generically "upstate New York".
