I'm only generally aware of the charges against Manning, but I am also generally a fan of whistle-blowers and people who leak information that is only being kept secret for political reasons.
Every time a leaker shows how our government has lied and cheated, the government tries to bring charges. The current movie 'The Post' is an excellent example.
So you may well be right, but I hope voters look at a wide range of issues and at character. There are people currently in office who are a lot worse than either Manning or Cardin.
I was more bothered by it giving his trashing of Hillary in service of Bernie Sanders, who is every bit as straight old white & make as Cardin (Older, I think)
