If your mom is my generation (younger end of the Boomers) it was part of the indoctrination. Very hard to overcome.

As an atheist, hearing someone was called by god to do these kinds of things, puts them on exactly the level as Donny Darko and every other dissociated hallucinating fucking sociopathic serial killer there has ever been.

I actually have some limited medical experience(way beyond this woman, apparently) and would never begin a blood transfusion without a type and screen. This idiot seems to have just given any random blood she had on hand. Also, how the hell did she have random blood at her fake clinic??!?!

The Ugandan gov't is suing her? Then maybe they'll sue her fellow American religious people who visit Uganda to impress on them that Jesus says homosexuals have demons inside them. Maybe this will reduce their credibility. But they'd have to sue on behalf of the gay men.

Religious freedom to kill? Works for the Taliban. The scumbags running Saudi Arabia. The Southern Baptists hankering to murder gays. She's just living up to a fine tradition.
