"Forgiveness isn't simply setting the sedition counter back to zero. Marshall and the MAGA crew won't even apologize, which is a necessary step in true reconciliation."

"Although forgiveness and reconciliation are very different things, many people use those terms interchangeably. In fact, forgiveness is one-sided; I can forgive someone who shows no remorse for what he or she has done. Forgiveness is not a favor shown by an innocent party toward a guilty party. I can forgive someone who may yet die clueless and in denial. ...Reconciliation seeks to restore a relationship without denying a past event... . By definition, reconciliation must be mutual and even then can never fully restore things to 'the way they were before'.”~ https://www.franciscanmedia...

It goes waaaay back, to the time Hoover, during the period from the time he lost to the time Roosevelt was inaugurated, tried to coerce Roosevelt into committing to a budget just like what Hoover would have submitted if he had run. In the mid-'50s, Hoover was still bitching about it.

For Republicans, it's always heads-I-win, tails-you-lose.

The thing I would like to tell Senator Roger "Move On" Marshall is not in this lifetime motherfucker. I will remember you traitorous bastards as long as I live. I will vote against Republican garbage as long as I can drag my ass into a voting booth.

Every single election ad, interview, and speaking engagement Dems do from here on out should include mention of Republican support/involvement/investment in January 6th and the continuation of the effort to topple our democracy on behalf of Trump. Drag them, and their Party. It was a campaigning gift and we should utilize it. At the time, we all were saying so. Why has it become strategically unpopular? Must we so quickly return to the overly simplified ‘moral high ground’ that has failed to overcome the growing threat from our opposition? This event was astounding, and should have been the cherry on top of a 4-year shit sundae Trump term in office. Instead, their Party perpetuates the threat, in addition to promoting their radical extremism and Trump. They go on tv and push their propaganda. If we don’t make that reality part of the narrative, including it at the magnitude of seriousness that it deserves, then we enable it. It’s not time to move on. The literal enemy is already in the house.
