I think those SHOULD have been the Ten Commandments he installed in stone in the Judicial Building, but that would have been honest.I assume the ones he did install there were the ones in Exodus Chapter 20 that most of us take for granted are the only set of Ten Commandments in the Bible. Which are wholly (not holy) unconstitutional in the United States. Commandment Number One says "You shall worship one god and one god only." U.S. Constitutional Amendment Number One says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."Commandment Number Two would make those Confederate statues the hooraw was about, forbidden anyway, and all other statues, even Lincoln's and Washington's.If I were Roy Moore, perish the thought, I'd be pretty worried about Commandment Number Three. "Do not use my name for evil purposes, for I, the LORD your God, will punish anyone who misuses my name."But there is also a SECOND set of commandments, in Exodus Chapter 34, which is supposed to be identical to the first set -- "the words that were on the first tablets" -- but in fact is completely different. When Moses came down from Mount Sinai the first time, and found the Children of Israel worshipping the Golden Calf, he smashed the first tablets of the Law in a rage, and then had three thousand idolaters put to the sword by the Levites. Then he had to go back up the mountain for a new lot. Check out Exodus 34. The commandments most people would endorse, like Do Not Commit Murder, Do Not Steal, Do Not Commit Perjury in Legal Cases to Gain an Advantage Over Your Neighbour, even Do Not Commit Adultery, are absent.Instead we have:1. Do not worship any god but me.2. Keep the Festival of Unleavened Bread.3. Devote every first born son and first born male domestic animal to me.4. Don't come to worship me without bringing an offering.5. Don't do any work on the Sabbath Day, not even at ploughing time or harvest, when it's most urgent.6. Observe Harvest Festival and the Festival of Shelters.7. All men must come and worship me three times a year. Don't worry about hostile tribes moving against you; I guarantee personally, as God, that you won't be invaded during the three festivals.8. Don't offer leavened bread with animal sacrifices.9. Bring the first grain that you harvest to my temple each year.10. Do not cook a young sheep or goat in its mother's milk.I can definitely see how that last one, for instance, is more important that "You shall not commit murder." There is also nothing there about "You shall not molest exceedingly young girls". Maybe Moore should have opted for Exodus 34 and not 20.

Moore is falling behind in the polls. There are a lot of evangelicals in AL, true, but there are still plenty of moms and dads there who'd ring Moore's neck if he got near their 14-year old daughters.
