Aw heck, would you look what we have here? It's another news story about another fraternity doing dickish things because that's what fraternities do, even though yeah yeah, we know, that isnotwhat the Greek life is really about. (Yes it is, and you are never going to be able to persuade us that we're wrong. Especially when we have to keep reading stories proving we are right.)
You mean, when did they first start getting CAUGHT committing felony assault and drug crimes. And I'm gonna guess "shortly after the fuckbrains started putting their shit on the internet."
I read a horrifying but completely unsurprising article about 'em in The Atlantic not long ago (The Dark Power of Fraternities by Caitlin Flanagan). She talks about how, prior to Vietnam, they had this not terribly dark bothers-secret-handshake purpose, but had adults in residence to oversee daily life. They became less relevant, campus-wise, during Vietnam (duh), and afterwards managed to shake off the house-parents, because that is so old-fashioned. Now they are important recruiting tools for colleges, who need students badly, giving drooling slacker Juniors the idea during campus visits that hey, college might be pretty rad, though not in the way his parents envision. And they are lawyered up extremely cleverly, so that when they have drunken parties and their members or their guests end up dead or worse (brain-dead, say), they can't be touched. If your spirits need lowering, give it a read.
May I make a modest request? Can we stop using "dick" as an insult? Here's why: dicks are amazing and wonderful, and I love them. How about we use "douche" and all permutations thereof? Douching is worthless, potentially harmless, and unnecessary.
The "Greek life" is stupid -- privileged brats from rich families with a ridiculous, delusional sense of "being a little bit better" than everyone else. These attributes foster precisely the kind of dumba$$ behaviors reported in the news of late - no doubt countless more have gone unreported. Ban them all.
The new and improved Donald Trump, now with more brains and less mouth?

Tri Bita Thi has the inside track.

According to Wikipedia, a distinguished alum of Kappa Delta Rho is the benign and loveable Ari Fleisher (Alpha chapter, Middlebury College.)
Kappa Delta Palin? (Wait, did I just name one of their kids?)

Is our children learning?

They don't learn too good anyway
From a different case of fraternity stupidity, a step in the right direction: http://www.mlive.com/news/a...
The only honorable thing to do is terminate the Greek system.
It does give them practice in being privileged old men piled together. You know, preparation for a political career.
Penn State still has a reputation?
Instead you ended up here. Does that count as a win?
Dammit, I was gonna spend a pleasant evening with that site...
