And she shows us a major problem with our representative democracy is that it kind of depends on elected officials understanding and believing in the principles it is based on and doing a good faith effort to do their jobs. A public servant like Warren, who understands her job and tries to do it, is held up as some kind of shining beacon. And you can't just fire someone on the spot, and it all depends on voters engaging- having a clue and caring and voting...arrrghh
