I grew up in Aspen during the 70s-80s. The influential parents of my time there ranged from John Denver to Hunter S. Thompson. Trying to find ways to inspire influencers of today by some of the originals…before the computer.

So, I have created this series of articles. I am calling it…”Voices of the past talking about the present, trying to inspire a better future” … be it Positive or Gonzo.  It’s time that generations join together. So many cities showed the world they are united in support for…. No Kings! There is a difference between executive and congressional powers… only one makes the laws and Tariffs! I have decided i’ll stop writing when Trump stops giving me things to write about. Now it’s up to him… Enjoy!

"She could have brought this story to Fox News or to The Daily Wire, or to The Blaze, or to any of the other 80 billion right-wing media outlets, where she might have reached even one person who might change their mind because of her story, but no..."

Why in the world would she want to do that? Fox and The Blaze are totally disinterested in stories like that. But The New York Times is a premier outlet and fully committed to its ongoing mission of whitewashing and normalizing fMAGS ascists, and would probably pay a premium for a story by a rabid MAGAT expressing completely reasonable concerns, just like any of us, really. And the Times is accustomed to pulling shenanigans like this, it would be an easy sell. Hell, they may have even solicited the article.

Just under 3000 comments have been posted and you can comment anonymously. Here is my comment:

"Well, this is some big BS - pretending to "save Americans money" by short shrifting the vital work of home caregivers and stripping them of minimum wage and labor hours/overtime protectections when the INEVITABLE net result will be the MUCH more expensive alternative to in-home care - unnecessary institutionalization in nursing homes costing as much as $40,000 a month - (almost as much as incarcerating a prisoner!). And nursing home care is paid for by MEDICAID which the current Republican Administration and Republican Congress are CUTTING! And SHAME ON YOU for denying critical workers a living wage AND attempting to worsen their working conditions and compensation, with this NON "COST SAVING" FIG LEAG FOR WHICH WE WILL ALL END UP PAYING THROUGH THE NOSE, if we do not want the disabled and elderly living and dying on our streets."

Well, thank goodness we won't have any more hospitals. Last time I was at one, I was really sick and all those people kept stopping by to help me recover. How annoying!

My late father was a pessimist and my late mother was an optimist. I grew up as a weird combination of both. So I hate to be the "negative nellie" and bring this up but does anyone actually think this administration is going to pay any attention to public comments? I can hope they will but it certainly doesn't sound like them, does it?

For whatever reason, my dietitian doesn't like seed oils either. I'll push the issue next time I see her.

Ta, Robyn. I'm glad we're retiring next year, because the devastation coming to FQHCs like the one I work in is not something I want to be around to see. Able bodied? I had a client who was banned from our clinic when he yelled and acted out; had I or my supervisor been there it would not have happened. He's able bodied; can do 50 pushups easily. His disability is invisible, but qualified him for SSDI. SMDH. Our Union is great for the nursing aides, home health attendants, and the like whose wages are no longer being stolen by their agencies because the Union protects them.

Union contracts have also been cancelled at Dept. of Ag., EPA, and the VA. I hope that Rebecca has someone working on that for tomorrow, because it's too big to be ignored.

I live in the Cleveland Ohio area. One of the largest hospitals here ( Metro Healtth) has announced it's closing several offices, and why? Because of the current influx of patients who have no health insurance.

Got that?

There's already too many uninsured, and this is happening all before these coming cuts to Medicaid, and the coming increases to insurance policies. Which will only cause there to be MORE uninsured people needing healthcare, and will cause even more medical facilities to close, because these community hospitals cannot afford to keep losing millions of dollars in an effort to stay open.

And that means LESS healthy people.

But it was never about keeping poor Americans healthy.

It's about creating a permanent underclass, while the white lords and ladies and king Trump feast on our bones.

And the Republicans will blame it all on Obamacare, or something.

The coming AI revolution will make a lot of the workforce superfluous. The Trump fascists and techno libertarians have decided that an early grave is an effective solution as to what does the nation do with so much excess humanity.

Killing funding for mRNA research will have a body count, like everything these clowns do. Claiming they are doing it because Americans don't trust the vaccines it's created is whatever disingenuous is when you amp it up an order of magnitude or two. That second thing is the GOP playbook. Kennedys aren't supposed to use it, but we're living in the worst timeline, so whatever.

I wish there really were a hell, so these cunts could spend eternity in it. (Even if I would too, albeit for other, cooler reasons.)
