My wife had it done 10 years ago, all good. It's not indestructible, it's possible to wreck it. The range of bending has some loss. Doing PT for a couple months at least while healing can help that range increase.

Weather turned cold.

Birbs grown bold.

Three cats entranced

As seed-suet enchants,

Their day grown sweeter

By dinner theater.

MacBeth refusing to die at the end sounds a lot like Trump trying to stay in the White House.

How hard would it have been to change the second line here:

“ Had they been supported on each side with buttresses,

At least many sensible men confesses,”

To: “At least many a sensible man confesses.”

New bean achievement unlocked: 1 lb leftover smoked pork butt, 1 lb lima beans, water to cover, salt and pepper

Best lima beans ever, also easiest, and I am not exaggerating!

2 hours, if that, no soaking. Limas are fast. Stirred a lot, so super creamy. Smoked bbq pork = best beans I ever had, limas or otherwise

Art, art, makes me smart. The more I think, the more I fart. The more I fart, the more I stink, and when I stink it makes me think about how

Art, art, makes me smart. The more I think, the more I fart. The more I fart, the more I stink, and when I stink it makes me think about how....

Endless smart art fart poem, inspired by Beans Beans the Musical Fruit, written while bored in a 6th grade art class.

My sister has multiple variations of this. She keeps teaching them to her 5 yr old grand daughters, much to their mum's dismay

Less than 48 hours to my mom's knee replacement surgery. Its her 5th try in 5 years. She slipped and fell on stairs last day of vacation and a week before try 1, then Covid hit and cancelled all non life saving surgery. Then, she got Covid. Then , after a year of one medical crisis after another, she was too sick of hospitals and too anxious to try. So far so good for this try. Yesterday's Covid tests were negative.

But if any motherfucker does anything to stop this, (unless my mom calls it off) I might go a little crazy on them, and let 5 years of pent up emotions out on their ass.

And if anyone in this house gets Covid and I track down the source of the infection...............

I had 13 knee surgeries until the last one finally worked. I have so much empathy for what your mum is going through and I wish her all the best. Make sure she gets regular pain meds for as long as possible. I didnt ..and that is a story for another day

My wife had a full replacement on one knee. Ended years of knee misery. Hope it all goes well.

"M"'s avatar

Are you taking questions about that? Because my aunt - granted she had hers a long time ago, but she talks about it much less ... positively

My Mom's knee replacements made an entire world of difference in her life. Best of luck to her and you. It was life-changing in only the best ways...

Here's one I wrote on a Montana trail ride.

git along little dogies

git along little dogies

the trail is a-risin'

the sun's goin' down

git along little dogies

git along little dogies

the beans are a-cookin'

the coffee is ground

git along little dogies

git along little dogies

the bedroll's a-waitin'

the fire is high

git along little dogies

git along little dogies

the wind is a-whistlin'

up in the sky

Haiku for the Dark Days, from Janet McLaren (hope you enjoy it)

In superficial

Encounters you can't tell the

Dark Soul from the rest.

A Dark Truth must hide.

The Heart can't abide the black,

In Fear it chooses.

Nobody can name

The shocking source of the Rage

Nor pacify it.

Red bricks in the wall,

Blood from deaths of the Spirit

As Violence wounds,

Smoldering Furies

Rage at the impossible,

Retreat, diminish.

One by one candles

Of the Spirit extinguish

And leave only Dark.

Hope for afterlife

Is fear of real life being

Stolen from the Now.

The unofficial awarding of the title World's Worst Poet went to Paul Neil Milne Johnstone

(AKA Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings), at least according to Douglas Adams.

A sample:

The dead swans lay in the stagnant pool.

They lay. They rotted. They turned

Around occasionally.

Bits of flesh dropped off them from

Time to time.

And sank into the pool's mire.

They also smelt a great deal.

Here"s my substack for today - all about giving a soft white damn.

That sounds interesting, doesn't it? There's flowers, too, and a Mule on the Hill !
