Since he's such a lover of democracy and a hater of autocracy, he must allow the employees to vote on the employee policies, right? He would never require overtime, just ask for volunteers, right? The crew on his yacht all get a vote (one vote equal to Harlan's vote) on the next destination, right? Because if he orders people around when he has influence over them, that's not looking for the "but he just loves democracy" hypothesis.
