So here's the answer when your Trumpista uncle says, "She's too afraid to answer reporter's questions! How could she possibly lead the free world???"

"Unlike Trump, she'll actually answer the reporter's questions. Trump just says whatever comes to mind, true or not, responsive or not. You know damn well Vice President Harris [note: always use the title] won't be let off the hook that easy."

They're deathly afraid of seeming to take a side by saying something like "Donald Trump gave a largely incoherent press conference today," but if the candidates don't kiss their ink-stained asses, they seem more than willing to punish them in print.

Throw 'em the middle finger, Kamala. They're not going to be any help to you anyway. You have nothing to lose and your base will only love you more for it.

It's OT Time again. Re the felon's plane having to make emergency landing somewhere near Bumfukt, Montana. Wonder when the felon will regale the suckers and rubes with his version of another near-death experience? I fully expect him to use it to plead for cash for maintenance and repair for the flying death trap. And said suckers and rubes will gladly send the cash.

I figured he had finally stroked out or in his delusions thought he saw MLK signaling from the ground to land so he could congratulate Frump for having a bigger crowd at some county fair somewhere.

Oh, it's better than that. Another Wonkadero reported on a different thread that PAB owes the Bozeman airport $12K from 2020 and he couldn't land there for fear of being made to pay up. There was no mechanical.

Ugh, S.E. Cupp, the only atheist I know who defends Christian Nationalism!

Also, anyone saying this sort of thing in debate:

Is lying. So Sippy knows 100% that this is just a beltway hissy fit.

Good point here: VP Harris has a national campaign to set up. And if Artie Sulzberger needs froth to print, he can just send out Meg Haberman to do a therapy session with her psychiatric patient. Maybe she can do an inkblot test and the stinking heap of rotting flesh can make noises about "stolen" and "UNFAIR".

Also too: S.E. Cupp. "Who the fuck is this guy?", to quote OHJB. Maybe if these clowns could quit trying to draw blood, and also report on how demented and stinky the xxx-potus has gotten, the Harris campaign could open up a little time for them. That campaign has a republic to keep, a republic they live in, and it's very much in their interest to help.

John Oliver's show was originally supposed to have an interview segment, like all those shows. After watching the test shots, everyone said, "You know, John, you could use that time for the main story and go really deep into things."

I think the msm has far bigger stories to focus their attention on, like the bombshell breaking story that Donald Trump was on the Titanic in 1912 with James Brown, and both survived the sinking BARELY by leaping off the sinking stern onto the iceberg. While chatting on the chunk of ice awaiting rescue, James Brown had terrible things to say about Kamala Harris, who he described as “terrible, a very nasty woman, who told him she was Indian only to later claim to be black.” Brown and Trump then sang “Living in America,” and their icy rendition won a Grammy. But the msm won’t talk about that story.

Concerning the stupid question to Trump about Josh Shapiro not being selected as her VP candidate - it's repeating the GOP line that Shapiro wasn't chosen because he's Jewish. "For the Democrats, a Jew can't be on the ticket. " Did they forget about Joe Lieberman? Is J.D. Vance Jewish? Did I miss his Bar Mitzvah? Harris conducted a rigorous and thorough VP selection and vetting process. Trump selected Vance because his 2 idiot sons told him to.

"Shady" Vance was also chosen because of Thiel and Mercer money

Hence his "I don't care" attitude with actual voters

I think it's past time for Democratic operatives to start working the refs. Shame the media for their fawning stenography of Trump's lies. Shame them for quote counting in the name of faux "balance" rather than calling out bullshit. Shame used to work. What happened?

They usually don't ask Democratic spox on, and when they do, make sure to steer the conversation and if the spox pushes back, the narrative is "Evades the questions!"

He would be great in that role, but my concern with it is it's a waste of the man's considerable talents. He's a brilliant person. He's a great orator. He can think on his feet, and he's a policy wonk. Plus he's just adorable. The man could wind up being president one day.

Me too! I just think that the O'Donnell segment has provided a permission structure for that to start happening. This was just a first step, but a major one. They can't pretend that we don't see them

millions of Americans have been pointing out the "both sides do it" problem of the media and The endless false equivalencies and breathtaking omissions of important information. This isn't some kind of big secret Or fringe observation. But here's where it gets weird. The media hasn't even acknowledged that this criticism exists. Think about that for a minute. I mean seriously think about it. They haven't even acknowledged that this criticism that millions of Americans have been making even exists. If they don't acknowledge that it exist, then they don't have to address it. if somebody accused me of something that I genuinely believed I was not guilty of, I would make it my life's mission to clear my name. To defend myself. But the media doesn't even have to defend itself because it hasn't acknowledged the criticism to begin with. That can't be anything but deliberate. There is absolutely no way that they don't know that this criticism exists. That is really scary and weird to me. Again. This dereliction of journalism can't be anything but deliberate. That's a fact

Well said

Angelo Caruso from Media Matters also reminded us all today how long the right wing has been bullying the actual reporters in the media every time they covered a fascist Republican as aggressively as they cover Democrats.

It's been well over a decade
