Harvard will be fine. There are other schools that will not, and all of this is a ginormous waste of resources that should be going towards the research that has actually made America great.

The damage will include the best and brightest not entering graduate schools. We'll lose untold billions in good research in the future. And we'll never know what advances WON'T be made. Because they...won't.

All because of idiots who voted for this trash.

Fuck Ted Cruz.

Good on Harvard. Disappointed in Columbia, though.

The Ivy League should have relegation, like in English football.

That way it can be demoted and replaced with someone else.

Oberlin perhaps?

"But bad: The administration is still attacking!"

This isn't "bad," it's SOP for the Fulvous Fuckwad. Every time he has been caught screwing the pooch he has doubled down. It is psychologically impossible for the Sociopathic Marigold Swamp Monster to admit he might have been wrong. To acknowledge that possibility would be tantamount to conceding that he miscalculated the effects of his actions, either forced or unforced errors (a vast majority of his fuckups have been unforced).

“It was malpractice on the side of Harvard’s lawyers not to pick up the phone and call the members of the antisemitism task force who they had been talking to for weeks. Instead, Harvard went on a victimhood campaign.”

* Mooseballs Mussolini's crack (smoking) attorneys know what malpractice looks like since they commit it on a daily basis, if not more often.

* Harvard's lawyers were talking with the task force's legal advisors or were they being told what's what? I don't see anyone affiliated with the current regime carrying on conversations with those under attack.

* The nerve of Harvard to play the victim card; that card is reserved exclusively for the Amber Ardipithecus ramidus and his devotees so they can rationalize the vengeance to be rained down on all who done them dirty, especially the Leftist, Socialist, Fascist, Communist, LGBTQIA+ loving, Drag show attending, Disloyal, Unpatriotic, Out to destroy our country Libs.

"Trump TruthSocialed a threat to remove its tax exempt status"

May I suggest other schools be considered for losing their tax exempt status if they require Religious Studies classes and mandatory attendance at religious services. I don't think that the Dept of Edjumucation has a problem with threatening Hillels or Madrassas, but keep your fucking, money-grabbing hands off of the Christian parochial schools.

"Vance, of course, would probably be manager of a Dollar General if he hadn’t gone to college."

Ms Jones, you need to get up to date here. After the Mango Malignancy put a 145% tariff in Chinese goods the company changed its name to $2.45 General.

(OT sidebar: if the DOGEbag-in-Chief, his fanbois and fangirlz really want to cut the budget may I suggest they have a talk with Kristi Noem. Last night I saw my *second* tv commercial featuring her thanking "President Donald J Trump" and threatening fire and brimstone for any undocumented immigrant who won't self-deport. The ad ran during the national news when a vast number of viewers are not undocumented, and those who are probably aren't watching. I have to wonder what the production costs and ad buys cost us taxpayers. However much, it was a complete waste of money.)

"Because Harvard doesn’t select for intelligence, riiight. People who got into Brown but not Harvard are always so bitter."

"Princeton announced today that they would cover the tuition for any student who's parents made less than $150,000 annually. Said Princeton 'After all, its not their fault their parents went to Brown.'"

My kid's favorite art teacher in high school went to RISD, which has an agreement with Brown that allows people enrolled at one to take classes at the other. She told us that the Brown students who took a class at RISD generally found it significantly harder than their classes at Brown. Art school is not for sissies.

"It would be McCarthyism on steroids. Imagine how great America would be if McCarthy didn’t just go after the communists, but also the liberals too."

Yep, if only McCarthy had gone after the liberals who saved us from a depression after Republican tariffs and mismanagement of the economy had caused a great depression, won World War II for the free world, protected liberty and freedom, recognized basic civil rights for all Americans, and made this country the most powerful country and leader of the free world, we could have been a third-rate dictatorship like MAGA wants us to be over sixty years ago!

"Capture the courts, capture the media outlets, take over the schools, and you can rule America!" It's almost as though they are operating from a playbook, a detailed set of objectives and project plans that would commence immediately in 2025. Gosh, it would have been so good to see that playbook in advance so we could've thwarted these aims....oh wait....

I hope, but very much doubt, that the reactionary/nazi/terroristic Yardle remembers that McCarthy had a bit of a problem with honesty, ethics, alcohol.... a brain tumor... and loved him the Nazis that murdered US POWs at Malmedy. So if there are any MAGATTy types that had relatives who fought in the Battle of the Bulge get a pair of brass knucks, find this Yarblleee guy and punch yourself a nazi. You may feel muuuuuch better.

The valedictorian in my high school graduating class went to Harvard. She had an 800 on the verbal portion of the SAT (only person in the school to beat me) and a matching 750 on the math bit. She had 5-6 AP class credits by the time she was done with high school, and another two or three SAT IIs, essentially eliminating the freshman classes at any other university (not sure what Harvard did. They probably expect that from their students, anyway.) Oh, and she played the violin brilliantly to boot. She wanted to become a neurosurgeon.

But I'm sure they think that the only reason she got accepted to Harvard was because she was half-Black.

I went to Michigan State on an academic full ride and got into Harvard Law School with an 800 on the LSAT, and one of my friends, who is a right-wing dittohead but really does have other qualities that keep us friends, said I must have gotten into HLS through affirmative action. He, on the other hand, went to either Suffolk Law School or New England School of Law (which began as Portia Law School, an all-women's law school) nights. Oh, and they were quite emphatically not doing any affirmative action for gross icky girls when I got in.

USG is unfortunately toeing the line right now. A lot of the university administrations are quietly complying with some of the shitty DEI elimination plans - but the professors are rebelling and trying to fight back as much as they can to protect their students.
