Weather the storm is being sponsored by the civilians in the positions of positive frontal path created by Devine causes and Truthful trust in Historic Treasonous activities with intent, must be resolved by Laws including security issues with malicious intent by Knowledge of knowing!!!

I'm really not a snowman

They make me wear this suit

But I don't care

The people stare

And tell me I look cute

And when my walk is over

I'll get a chewy treat

They'll give me pets and skritches

As I curl up at their feet.

Wonkette’s selection of Teen Vogue’s vital warning against the politics of self-obsession disseminates the most valuable strategic and tactical advice I have seen published anywhere since the Moronic Majority voted on 5 November to kill the Republic and replace it with the Christonazis’ “Unified Reich.”

Quoth Teen Vogue, warning of precisely the affliction that destroyed Occupy from within: “Being ‘the right kind’ of progressive or feminist or socialist can easily become its own goal, rather than winning concrete victories that match the values and goals behind these labels. Unfortunately, this has been a common response in recent decades among those who have long fought against the overwhelmingly powerful, well-funded right wing in the United States.”

That said – and as I have several times written elsewhere – I fear our national combination of abysmal ignorance of history and hitherto-(relatively)-protected naivety inclines us to tragically (and probably fatally) underestimate the Hitler-caliber hatefulness that motivates Trump and his Christianazi supporters and thus fuels the intentions the voters have now given them the capability to inflict.

If we are to adequately prepare for what is to come, we must awaken to the fact the murders of Emmit Till and the civil rights workers Michael Schwerner, James Chaney and Andrew Goodman were anything but anomalies. Neither were the murders of the students at Kent State University and Jackson State College – nor was the murder of Karen Silkwood. Our enemies want us dead – and after 20 January 2025, there is no force on this planet capable of stopping them.

(Even now – though the mainstream media propaganda machine dares not report it – there is absolutely nothing to stop Führer-elect Trump and Finance Minister Musk from destroying Social Security and Medicare by merely continuing the government shutdown indefinitely.)

"that any editorial critical of Trump be paired with an adjacent opinion piece"

I *want* to be hired to write those! I will take my cue from The Onion's editorials explaining both sides!

And yes, I would need to hire an assistant to help translate from Korean.

Ah....Thornton. Nice.

One of the troll commenters on my local newspaper website is demanding that the police PROVE what gender the shooter "really" is. Guess he wants to do his own personal genital inspection.

Why do I read comments? I like it here better, where they aren't allowed.

I read Brian Kareem's The Day the Journalism Died article in Salon. He makes some good points. but...I don't know. I don't believe that the left is perfect but goddamn, it felt like a lot of both siderism just to avoid saying Republicans and republicans alone have been trying to destroy democracy since Nixon (probably before that). On the other hand, if Democrats were trying to save democracy it seems like they would have been on the ball much, much sooner.

Elon Musk Posts Racist Images In Response To Elizabeth Warren's Call For Ethics Standards

"Sen. Elizabeth Warren called for Donald Trump to hold Elon Musk to the kind of ethics standards set for government officials while the tech billionaire remains a major figure in the president-elect’s orbit. On social media Tuesday, Musk shared a series of racist images — apparently generated by artificial intelligence — that depicted Warren and leaned heavily on Native American stereotypes.

In one image, Warren is depicted wearing a beaded headdress adorned with bird feathers. The image also imagined the senior Massachusetts senator wearing a buckskin shirt with leather fringe. Subsequent posts by the world’s richest person imagined Warren shown in Native American garb and smiling gently while wearing some sort of leather garment.

Musk included no explanation alongside the images, instead posting a series of crying laughing emoji with the caption, “Guess who this is?”"

Doc, a little sisal rope and hot glue (and/or some adhesive carpet like they use for stair risers) will fix that cat tree right up. I repair our two that way every few years. Hot glue finger-burns seem a small price to pay compared to finding another cat tree the cats can all agree on. And rope is cheap!

Thornton is perfectly content scratching the living hell out of the other posts on the thing, and loves one in particular, so any repair would be mainly for looks anyway. He does not lack for scratching opportunities!
