The thing I am having trouble imagining is this: suppose the Secret Service had driven Trump to the Capitol. He would have gotten out and then what? Nobody would have tried to stop him. The police would have stepped aside as Trump led his band of hillbilly goobers into the House. Then what? Compel Mike Pence to overturn the election at gunpoint?
This is what I am having trouble imagining. He seemed to have been very angry that he couldn't go to the Capitol, so he must have had some sort of plan as to what he expected to happen.
He'd never wield a gun of his own. His plan would be to get somebody else to kill Pence so that he could be declared blameless. The shooter would be locked up for life, and Trump could resume the Presidency.
Being borne into the Capitol on the shoulders of his stormtroopers with that hideous rictus of a grin on his face while the advance guard beat and murdered those bad Dems and occasional pesky RINO's , directly into the Senate chambers where he would ceremoniously pull a sheaf of papers from Pence's cold, dead hands before tearing them up to the raucous approval of the assembled Centurion Guard or whatever the fuck they call themselves and announcing that in fact there is no actual need to announce the electoral counts because "you know perfectly well who won", and then after minimal schmoozing with those barbarians who weren't busy playing soccer with Chuck Schumer's head, back to the WH for some delicious hamberders with plenty of ketchup.
that's what NBC story I read had--a "source" said that the SS is reporting that Engel 'and the limo driver' (who was driving and what was the seating arrangement in the SUV?) would testify they were never assaulted.
New theory--was the story told to her to see if she would leak it to the media? The woman had a portfolio and jotted notes while testifying, has any other witness come prepared like that? You know some of that shit was contemporaneous recollections she wrote down as it was happening. And during the depos too, had a notebook in front of her.
The whole "I don't even know them" schtick has to be getting old to even rabid MAGAts.
