It was gratifying to know the generals did not applaud, and may have actually been annoyed by the utter waste of their time.

Waste of time? I dunno. They learned that the next targets for military aggression is US citizens.

Marycat2021's avatar

They already knew that, just like we did.

The fuckwad is actually speeching right now and so far it's ridiculous that to have had all those military muckety-mucks flown in. I'm fairly certain that all that military feels the same way.

And on an unrelated note…substack still locks up when I try to report a spam comment. Is it just me? Who do I tell?

Said it before, but…there better be mass resignations after this shitshow. I still believe that despite a fair number of fascist-curious folk in the military, the majority believe in democracy and the rule of law, and take their oaths to the constitution seriously. Please don’t prove me wrong…

So glad these leaders are not all busy right now with a looming shut down to deal with or anything. Totally fine for them to take the time to fly to DC for a half hour meeting telling them to be warriors.

What a lovely chance to decapitate the entire American army and navy with one large bomb.

So this administration has announced to the world that trvmp, the secretary of war & every single admiral and general in the United States military will be at the same location, at the same time. I’m no expert but this seems like extremely poor decision making that has serious national security implications.

A determined enemy will now have, for the first time in American history, the opportunity to decapitate the United States military command authority in one fell swoop.

Had Biden or Obama announced such a meeting in advance the reichwing would be screeching like howler monkeys and demanding impeachment for providing aid & comfort to our enemies and putting the fate of our nation at risk.

Hasn’t Trump switched the venue to Mar a Lago yet?

"Last week Hegseth ordered every admiral and general in the military (about 800 in all), along with their senior enlisted leaders.."

Don't think it's a very good idea to assemble all that experience in one room. A drone could take them all out in one shot. Losing Hegseth however would be a plus

It could have been an email but project 2025 and a couple of training videos specifically said 'don't send emails, take a walk and speak to them in person'. This because it is easier to have no papers that need to be shredded at a later date and no hard evidence of chicanery and evil doings.

I admit that is one long ass walk to force your military leaders to make but when you're spending the American taxpayers money? No whim is too bizarre!
