Wait, what?

The man who shot 3 Palestinian college students in Vermont had a history of stalking at least one ex-girlfriend? HOW THE FUCK DO STALKING AND HATE CRIMES GO TOGETHER? I am so utterly confused at this completely surprising juxtaposition.

Well, it's a good thing that SCOTUS is taking up the cause of that poor man whose guns were taken away merely because he liked to shoot at women. He obviously wasn't a threat to the PUBLIC. Just to those women who refused to suck his dick. And a few other people in a parking garage. And maybe a couple other folks. But the point is that violence against women could not be a worse justification for taking away someone's guns. Let's all hope that SCOTUS does the right thing here and goes back to the 18th way of thinking about all this: women aren't people, so threats to women aren't an issue of which courts should take notice.

I mean, wasn't it better back in the day when cops didn't have to deal with this stuff and if some Palestinian (or Jew or Black man or Quaker or Irishman or Long Islander) didn't like getting shot up just for hanging out with friends, he could just challenge some other guy to a duel and one of them would be dead. How much better and simpler was the world to which conservatives would like us to return!

I'm gonna repost from this morning. Anthony Bourdain, on Kissinger:

“Once you’ve been to Cambodia, you’ll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with your bare hands. You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about that treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia — the fruits of his genius for statesmanship — and you will never understand why he’s not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to Milosevic,”

I would've liked you to have been here for this, Tony.
