today, we are all losers [contextly_sidebar id="NOco7xfcWfm8BiuUCTof79S44bfLIvZs"]You probably spent your weekend getting all March Mad Sportsball and whining about how your bracket blew up, whatever the hell that means, and because of that you weren't keeping abreast of just how godawful stupid the SCOTUS nomination thing is going. It isn't bad enough that we've had to hear from BOTH
He'll guarantee what, exactly. That they will always vote the way he and his henchmen want them to vote? It's so refreshing when a Republican takes a stand against judicial acitivism and in favor of an independent bench.
The Trump effect should spread widely enough to affect things at that level. State candidates in the GOP will either embrace Trump and lose everybody else or repudiate him and lose the base voters. Not as divisive as third party runs but it could knock some close races to the Democrats.Apparently the GOP has some half-assed plans to try to keep the state elections unaffected by a Trump Presidential bid. Another example of their headless chicken approach this year.Even independent comissions are shaped by who can appoint them. Or one step back if the state court does that job, who picked the judges.

Each candidate will perform a piece from "Hamilton." Winner is whoever has the best flow.
I believe you've just summarized the legislative schedule for the remainder of the year.
I have to admit that I read it as "a bunch of yuuuugely terrific judges to fill all the judicial appointments".
Redistricting is done by states (often by the legislature, occasionally by an independent commission).
What do you have against porpoises?
