Whatever the side effects might be from the mumps portion of the MMR vax, they can't be any worse than actually having the mumps.

As an old, I had the mumps because there were no vaccines for the disease back then. No vax for the measles or the chicken pox, either. I had those, too. The measles left me hearing-impaired. That's for life. Believe me, would rather have taken the shot.

Has anyone told this idiot that, if an adolescent male gets the mumps, there's a very real possiblity that his fertility will be severely damaged? That should be incentive enough, I should think.

Take the vax, or risk having your swimmers stuck at the starting gate. Forever.

What if RFK Jr. actually gave Trump a sweaty wad of money in exchange for his new job? The crazy Kennedy also passed millions of votes to Trump and endorsed him when he dropped out of the 2024 race. Remember also that Trump is transactional and probably believes Kennedy, with his loony medical baloney, can keep him alive to serve a third term. Two crazy fuckers.

“We have higher costs and worse outcomes than all those other developed countries! We need to fix that!” “I know, let’s do the opposite of what they all do!” It’s possible that the US has simply become too stupid to exist.

Unfortunately, it's probably true. We've come to believe crazy shit is true and that education and science are a threat.

Thank god you synopsized this for us because watching both Dr. Phil and JFK Jr. on the same show would definitely make me keep the suicide hotline on speed dial! They’re both TMI - Telegenic Mental Illness. Thanks Oprah for your contribution of Dr. Phil to the universe!

Accidents, genetics, and the environment you live in (including one that has or does not have fluoridated water - a good thing) have a much more profound effect on health outcomes than so-called life-style decisions. These people are profoundly dangerous and should be nowhere near a platform from which they can preach their bullshit.

"It's done by DARPA" should by all means be a standard MAGA bumper sticker.

Now, there's two abusive bozos on a power trip who can go die in the next available fire. Anytime would be good.

I think RFK, Jr.'s a true believer. "Dr." Phil, not at all. He knows this is bullshit. It's a paycheck and a way back after being abandoned by Oprah.

That's also definitely true of Mehmet Oz, who even tried to get a gig hosting Jeopardy after Alex Trebek died.

Phil likes the money and, fwiw in his case, prestige that comes with the grift.

RFK jr is on some kind of vendetta against god knows what exactly. He's a true believer in his own brand of bullshit, and he's the Jim Jones type.

I read that he was so traumatized in his childhood by his father's assassination that he lost his mind. I think one of his siblings said it.

That would not surprise me at all. Drugs and everything. When I suddenly lost my mother when I was 18, my whole world crumbled. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma he went through when the sudden death in his family was an assassination.

This is only what I would have expected from Dr. Phil ever since he interviewed Trump and played the softest possible soft ball with him, to an obscene and disgraceful degree. Not that I hadn't lost respect for him long before. He'd devolved from a guy who actually helped people with problems now and then, to a slightly up-market Jerry Springer. But his interview with Trump marked a new lower-than-low which I hadn't expected.

The guy made a fortune lying about vaccines. What made anyone believe he would stop now. So instead of him reporting outbreaks, he pops out a new lie. Because what “if we don’t test , there are no cases”. Or maybe he’ll recommend drinking bleach and giving yourself a DIY colonoscopy because we see how well that worked out with Covid. What next? Put cocaine back in cokes because everyone knows it will cure anything from intestinal gas to cancer. His lies aren’t just lies. They’re life threatening lies. People will die from his advice. It already happened in Somalia.
