Washington state Senator Mike Hewitt is cosponsoring an awesome and superconstitutional antidiscrimination bill, SB 5927. It says you can't discriminate against people based on their race, country of origin, sexual orientation, etc., unless you really really want to.
Hewitt represents - if that's the word for wasting taxpayer resources promoting bills that can't pass - the dumb corner of the state, where the economy relies pretty heavily on wine from the Walla Walla and Columbia River valleys.
Since these morons worship the dollar about as much as they do Jeebus, the consequences of a "gay boycott" of wines from the area might have interesting consequences. The careers of the assholes behind the bill (who are almost entirely from the wine growing regions of the state) might crash and burn, if the big money in their districts looks for less idiotic candidates to back.
