mainly because more direct flights go to Columbus. If you would have a connection regardless, Dayton is cheaper. My sis/BIL fly from Columbus or Cincy to California b/c they can go direct.
“I wanted just to verify it before I got her locked up,” Delmar said... knowing that cops aren't all that concerned about whether the Black person they arrest is actually guilty or not.
If I read this correctly, the policemen had to stop and decompress from their exhausting search for the missing baby, only to be interrupted and told the baby WAS LESS THAN 500 FEET FROM THEM, IN THE STOLEN CAR! Heroic!
That's not what I meant at all: policing necessarily relies on the cooperation of the public they serve, and their whole militarised, control the civilians, biggest, meanest thin blue line fighting the criminals schtick is self-serving nonsense which by alienating the public actually impedes their work.
If they did that, the rest of the cops would call them n****r lovers, and they wouldn't be able to depend on any of them having their backs the next time they went into a dangerous situation.
I know this isn't the point at all, but I keep coming back to this story and that baby is just so adorable. I hope Wilhelmina Thomass and her beautiful babies get all the help they need.
Sometimes the cops do good things. Sometimes they try their best and fail anyway. Over here in the UK there was a huge tragedy just before Christmas where 4 kids between the ages of 6 and 12 fell through the ice they'd been playing on into a lake. Emergency services were there within 7 minutes, they disregarded their own safety (specialist rescue took longer to arrive) to try to save those kids. One officer attempted to punch/claw his way through the ice with his bare hands. It took 20 minutes to get the kids out. Sadly none survived. Not all cops are bad, but there are way too many bad ones and there are too many who turn a blind eye to those bad ones. He'll, even bad cops can occasionally do good things The failure to give credit to hhe actual heroes in this case is inexcusable though.
Gotta wonder if that rag CNN will ever retract the bullshit story the bullshit cops fed 'em.
Last time I was in Yellow Springs, I was told many people fly into Columbus rather than Dayton "International."
CNN is FOX in Disguise. They had Wolf Bullshitzer before there was a FOX News.

Jesus, how hard would it have been to mention these two wonderful women?
The "few good apples" narrative.

Apparently the press has learned to exclusively curry favor with those in power
