I did not know this - but it makes a lot of sense.

"Under both the Florida Bar rules and the DC Bar rules, you need to get your former client’s consent to take cases that are “materially adverse” to that client."

An attorney may well have confidential client information that shouldn't be disclosed. Or used against the client.

Do you think they cover this in One L? Or least in an episode of "The Paper Chase?"

"Hacktivist" was a word brought to my attention by Snipy's "Agents of SHIELD" recaps and made me wanna punch the character who used it because it meant "hacker activist" and the character who described herself as that was super obnoxious about it.
