Here in Canada, it is illegal for police unions to engage in political activity or endorse a candidate/party. I suspect that with everything going on in the U.S. right now, no one will be changing that here any time soon.

Literally. I am watching a documentary on police training. I can barely watch 10 min at a time. Watching cops get indoctrinated on taxpayer's dime to view those same taxpayers as the enemy is so painful.
Oh, it was pretty bad. In her "Opulence" video, she asked an older Transman that has some... problematic opinions of nonbinary folks to read a couple of lines of a quote she put into her video. I honestly don't truly understand all the lingo, but suffice it to say that this man is universally disliked by lefty trans online people.
Lefty and Trans twitter came down on her and her close friends like a ton of bricks. Like to the point where people doxxed and harassed her friends and their families because they refused to join the cancel train and isolate her. Friends that are YouTubers also lost money, and she basically disappeared for like three months, before she released her video "Canceling", and pretty effectively uncanceling herself.
He didn't even say anything bad - he just read a quote(he wasn't even on screen and it wasn't even his quote) about how there can be 'good' bad taste, and 'bad' bad taste (talking about opulence and camp). The quote took this guy all of 10 seconds to read. And he is a trans activist, just with some older views on different trans identities that can seem a little elitist against gender nonbinary folks (he was one of the first F-M trans people to medically transition). TERFs have retweeted his more problematic tweets, so he must be horrible according to lefty trans twitter.
So because she featured him on a video, and he is considered a bad person because he may not totally be accepting of nonbinary folks, Contra is bad because she featured him. Hence she must be cancelled and anyone who does not denounce her must also be bad and therefore summarily cancelled, too.
They just want us all dead. Or traumatized and docile.

Policing can be changed. But it will be hard. It starts with completely reforming how cops are trained.
