Hero Restaurant Gives Sarah Huckabee Sanders The Boot
Trump staffers should probably just avoid all restaurants from now on.
If you are ever in Lexington, Virginia and are looking for a nice, farm-to-table restaurant with a quality clientele, look no further than The Red Hen! Last night, Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family went to go eat there, and found that she was not exactly not welcome.
On Friday night, server Jaike Foley-Shultz posted on Facebook that he waited on Sanders for all of two minutes before the owner came over and asked her to leave. According to further comments he made on Facebook, this was a decision made for moral reasons. You know, like how Christian bakers can't bake cakes for gay weddings for "moral reasons?" Just like that!
While most comments were people cheering the restaurant on, there were a few "So much for THE TOLERANT LEFT!" type commenters as well. My personal favorite was this person who doesn't know what a civil rights violation is, or the distinction between a chain of restaurants and one that is individually owned:
Civil Rights Violation??? Starbucks re-trained all their employees for treating a non-customer in a shabby way. Red Hen just laid a HUGE egg!
And this lady who thought she could SUE!:
Shame on The Red Hen. I really hope your business declines. This is not fair to any person. To humiliate a person and their family is wrong. If I was Sarah Huckabee I would sue this business for discrimination practices based on religious & political affiliations.
See, this is really where the right should bother to learn about these kinds of things. Somehow, it seems they all got the same memo falsely claiming that "political affiliation" is a protected class and that you can sue people if they discriminate against you on that basis. In reality, where the rest of us live, people can be refused service for any reason (like a lack of shirt or shoes), unless that reason is because they are a member of a protected class. So, if Huckabee-Sanders were being asked to leave because of her race, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, etc., that would be a civil rights violation. There is no legal basis for discrimination against people who are lying liars or Republicans or Trump administration officials. Unless being a lying liar is a part of Sanders' religion, which as far as we know it is not, she couldn't sue for religious discrimination either.
Here, for the record, is Huckabee Sanders explaining that Trump would support bakeries putting signs in their windows saying that they would not bake cakes for gay weddings due to their religious convictions.

It may surprise Sanders to know that there is actually a whole commandment against lying. Imagine that!
Sanders has since responded on Twitter:
Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so

Yes! They say that she, unlike you, is a person with actual moral convictions.
This has, of course, not been a good week for Trump officials at restaurants. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen thought it might be a good idea for her to go to a Mexican restaurant this week after defending the administration's Interment Kamps 4 Kids. It was not! Perhaps they should take a cue from the young bucks of the Trump administration and just not leave their houses ever.

It was a story about her being denied a meal. And you guys seem to have no problem mocking Trump's looks, which I applaud. So is it only women who can't be mocked for their looks? That seems sexist.
And this was a week ago. Go away.
Maybe it will sink in if a moderator says it: Mocking Sanders's looks is not something we want to encourage. It's sexist. Stop it. The person you're replying to pointed out exactly why. Cut that shit out, please.
