Any money rightfully given to the family should come out of the police pensions or budgets. Or require them to carry liability insurance. Whatever it is, enough with taxpayers footing the bill for psychotic cops who hurt/kill people. Things will won't change until we end qualified immunity and ensure the cops – and only the cops — are on the hook when they do this kind of shit.
