Oh heavens I wish I could agree, I wish I wish I wish I could, and I realize trial heats are still about name recognition minus future negative attacks, but...a difference between an 9% margin and a 4% margin, in an election that may require as much as a 7% margin in the national popular vote to overcome the electoral college handicap, isn't "5%", it's nearly double. It's not hard and fast data but it's reasonable comparative data at this point. Name recognition and net positives are an asset and that is a head start on getting elected, which is also called "electability".
It can if we capitalize on it--Steyer for example could put some millions into targeted Facebook ads for military members and vets, hitting this over and again.
Picture the ad--a military family talking about how the school is falling apart and they don't have new books for the kids, or have to share a single computer. They were counting on extra funds. Cut to Trump stealing from that pot of money to fund a wall he said Mexico would pay for...a wall that blew down under a light wind.
