I think you just like to upset me *sticks tongue out*

But at this point anything is a welcome distraction from my thoughts that my allergy related congestion must be the President Trump's Corona Virus (TM) - who scheduled a terrible respiratory virus at the exact same time as peak allergy season?

Greg "literally spineless" Abbott has lifted the stay at home orders for churches, because he wants to kill his own base. What an asshole.

You may have overworked the dough, and/or overproved it.

As for tongues, you give them ice cream!

Especially if they are naughty!

It's the easiest bread in the world. Self-rising flour (must be sifted!) and a can of beer. A little extra sugar if you like, and butter on top. Some people mix it in the bread loaf pan to avoid having to wash a bowl. It really doesn't taste much like beer - particularly if you use a lager instead of an IPA or a stout. The beer provides the yeast. Beer bread is by far best eaten when fresh and warm - it doesn't keep well. Great with homemade soup!

Well, most breads are better fresh and warm (especially pannecafone!).

Now that I think of it, the wife makes a Guinness chocolate cake that she really likes. Might just hafta try that beer bread. . . .
