I heard years later second hand that another one of the youth pastors at the same church ended up being transferred to missions work in South America after allegations of sexual abuse with young boys.
The church, of course, covered up the latter incident.
I suppose I could have tried to take my kids to a Christian rock show. It wouldn't have been easy, or gone well. Kids can tell the real thing, and can absolutely tell when they're not getting it.
