Hey Trump, Remember That SDNY Porn Payoff Criminal Investigation? IT REMEMBERS YOU!
Turns out investigators have had some questions for Hope Hicks! And Keith Schiller too!
In this time ofCOMPLETE AND TOTAL EXONERATIONcover-ups on behalf of Donald Trump in the Robert Mueller investigation into Trumpo-Russian collusion and obstruction of justice, it's good to remember there are so many more ongoing investigations into Trump and his crime family, both in Congress and in jurisdictions all over this great land, including at the Southern District of New York (SDNY).
On that note, the Wall Street Journal has an update on what SDNY's been doing in its deep dive into "Individual-1" and his alleged direction of a campaign finance crime scheme to pay off women who accused him of wee infidelities just before the 2016 election, in order that said news wouldn't come out and damage his election prospects. And it names some new names, of people investigators have had some questions for.
Hope Hicks, come on down! Awwww, we've missed "Hopey"!
Prosecutors interviewed Hope Hicks, a former close aide to Mr. Trump and White House communications director, last spring as part of their campaign-finance probe, which ultimately implicated the president in federal crimes.
And ...
They also spoke to Keith Schiller, Mr. Trump's former security chief. Investigators learned of calls between Mr. Schiller and David Pecker, chief executive of the National Enquirer's publisher, which has admitted it paid $150,000 to a former Playboy model on Mr. Trump's behalf to keep her story under wraps.
Let's see, that'd be the woman closest to Trump's side during the campaign, and the longtime security goon who was the man closest to his side during the campaign. WHAT DID THEY KNOW AND WHEN DID THEY KNOW IT?
With Hicks, the Wall Street Journal reports that she was asked about her contacts with David Pecker, publisher of the National Enquirer and Trump's pal who did the catch-and-kill ops to keep former Playboy playmate Karen McDougal's story quiet. Investigators reportedly also asked somebody else (not sure who) if Hicks coordinated with Pecker involving the campaign's response to a Journal story on November 4, 2016 -- just before the election, in other words -- about those porny pecker payoffs. In other words, hey Hope Hicks, were you part of the cover-up?
As for Schiller, investigators were reportedly just wondering about his own Pecker contacts, and if he had ever just quietly passed his phone to Trump while he and Pecker were talking Trump's pecker secrets. In other words, hey Keith Schiller, did you do cover-up stuff?
The point is that this investigation is pulling lots of people in. Pecker, of course, has a limited immunity agreement with SDNY, and his American Media Inc. (AMI), which publishes the Enquirer , has a non-prosecution agreement as well. (You know, assuming they don't lie or COMMIT CRIMES accidentally, oh boy, sure hope AMI didn't stumble into any crime-committing in its recent dealings over Jeff Bezos's dick pix!)
And of course, Allen Weisselberg, longtime Trump Organization CFO -- AKA "the guy who (likely) knows where alllllll the bodies are buried" -- has also been interviewed, and he also has limited immunity. (Assuming he hasn't lied to them.)
Last August, we learned for the first time that "Individual-1" really was "Individual-1," in the guilty plea Michael Cohen entered in SDNY, where he admitted he committed ALL THESE CAMPAIGN FINANCE CRIMES, and that he did it at the direction of "Individual-1" (but in a wink-wink nod-nod kind of way, he explained later to Congress). The Journal reports today, though, that SDNY was up Trump's ass long before that, "gather[ing] information about Mr. Trump's alleged involvement in the payments weeks before Mr. Cohen asserted it in open court.
Oh yeah, and SDNY has more Michael Cohen tapes. And Cohen accused Trump of ONE METRIC SHITLOAD of other crimes during his congressional testmony.
All of this should make the president sleep really well at night, don't you think?
We definitely think so. EXONERATED!

Hey Trump, Remember That SDNY Porn Payoff Criminal Investigation? IT REMEMBERS YOU!
I tuned into radio talk shows years ago, about 2005-2010 during college at OSU when I delivered pizzas. I first caught Glenn Beck, who actually sounded somewhat sane. I was fresh to politics, so I didn't really know what was up. I eventually came to be on the issue, and shifted my focus to Randy Rhodes, Norman Goldman, Ed Malloy (I think?), and a few others. There was definitely a shift as to how those shows went, and NPR ultimately became my favorite.
I'd jump to Michael Savage, Lars, and Glenn every so often and man, those dudes are scary crazy...
