We need to start manufacturing locally again. This is fucking insane.
Also, maybe just-in-time inventory management isn't all it's cracked up to be. No cushion in the system. Maybe keeping a bit extra around for just such occasions might be prudent. Costco has built an entire business model on people keeping extra inventory at home.
