no, the biggest decline is in the years 1992 to 2000, as reported in both the articles SK posted and the one you posted....your article even has 5 (count 'em, FIVE) easy-view line graph charts showing that fact, that any 3rd grader could interpret correctly

Nope, the 2014 data is in., the biggest decline is the past few years. We had a 11% US drop in gun homicide the past two years.

both of of those articles end in 2012. And neither have gun murder per se. gun murder has declined even more -- especially recently

And just like that, the causal relationship is removed, the flat-lining of the trend after the first six years (1992 to 1998) is ignored. The very cause of the trend is ignored.
