Earlier today, we floated a theory to explain the recent friction between Hillary Clinton and gay rights groups. But maybe the truth is much more simple than our elaborate speculation.
A reader sent us this picture of the new Hillary Clinton wax figure at Madame Tussaud's in New York, along with the following observation: "If Hillary wants the gay vote, she'll need a stylist. Who would vote for a president wearing a tacky turquoise-colored satin pantsuit?"
We see this reader's point, although we must quibble a bit. Even if Hillary Rodham Clinton is no Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Clinton has made giant steps forward in the style department over the years. Remember -- once upon a time, she looked like this .
