The power drunk, sadistic, and unstable Dictator for Life of North Korea, Kim Jong-Un -- who executed a dozen members of his own family to consolidate power, starves his own people while pumping them full of propaganda, and is armed with nuclear weapons -- surprisingly does not have a sense of tolerant equanimity about a film that roundly mocks him and assassinates him in effigy.
Thank gawd George '43' Bush included North Korea in the Axis of Evil™; no telling what would have happened if he continued Clinton's Agreed Framework overture to them.
So much is said about N. Korea's lack of tech, but the Aurora Theater Shooter (refuse to look up his name) didn't have a CIA budget, just enough to buy lotsa guns and a couple of grenades. It doesn't TAKE nukes to make shit happen these days.
Sony couldn't win-- either they refuse to pull the movie and get shat on when something happens, or they pull it and get called cowards. If this were an incredibly important movie, say, Star Wars VII, it would be worth the risk; but how many lives are you willing to risk for fucking Seth Rogan?

I'm surprised Sony didn't take advantage of all this free publicity. What the hell, stuff the film full of product endorsements and release it for free on the internet. North Korea can't blow up the internet. At least I think hey can't... yet.

Mission accomplished, Fox. You've got the whole country scared of their own shadow.
The beauty of 'Team America: World Police" is pretty much all of it.
and hollywood is a pussy.
Well spotted.
They could call it "Being Amy Pascal."

"Ho Ho Ho Chi Minh! The IMF is gonna win!"
Pass the cheese platter over this way.
I thought Sony was a Japanese company.
Sony Pictures announced that the film has been permanently shelved and would not be released in any form.
Geez. The Twizzlers they sell in the lobby have more of a backbone than these profiles in courage do!

Chickenhawks fly better with a right and left wing.
Suggestions for the next movie about North Korea?
Somehow "Remember 'The Interview'!" just doesn't have any cachet.

It's just like Hollywood to not ram movies down our throats!
Wait, what? Lame!
