Dunno what the values of Western Civilization really are, but it seems for a very long ass time the leaders have been out to lunch in taking care of it's peoples. Like for a few thousand years. Present times no exception. My only answer as to why the West doesn't speak universally Greek, Latin, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Italian, or even English. Me, I would put my money on Chinese or Indian in the next thousand years. If they can get the bugs out of Windows 27.1114.
