And just in time for Thanksgiving, too. Truly the GOP is the party that keeps on giving.

These people were not elected to govern. They are bomb-throwers and destroyers and ran as such and were elected as such (the GOP laying the groundwork for 40 years through gerrymandering and all the other anti-democratic tricks hasn't helped). It still blows me away that people are surprised by this shit and that the national press and political leadership are shocked I tell you shocked every time it happens. Every fucking day is Groundhog Day in America...

I am continual surprised by people who don't see a connection between the politicians they vote for and the government we have. In other words, Stop Voting Republican You Nincompoops.

I remember the articles in late 2006 about how Nancy Pelosi has made her career as a bomb thrower, and they weren't sure she'd be able to actually govern once in the majority.

She essentially ran the government from the legislative side for the last year and a half when W had checked out. She was incredibly effective and lead into a huge Democratic Presidential year win.

And then she did it again. Greatest legislator of my lifetime I think. But man doss the media not get it.

Yeah, like all the antiabortion groups said they would shift their attention to supporting pregnant women, babies, and mothers living in poverty since they can now ban abortion. Proof, to them, that they really were pro-life and cared about children living in poverty. Which of course was just a lame attempt to control the backlash from states banning all abortions and the hypocrisy of the GOP forcing women to carry unwanted or non-viable pregnancies to term while also campaigning for cuts to Medicaid, good and housing assistance, subsidized child care, and even cuts to free school lunches for children of poor families. Which reminds me of something everyone has heard, actions speak louder than words. The only actions antiabortion groups are interested in is banning abortion and now banning contraceptives. Not providing poor families with food, shelter, and health care.

But like most news stories about right wing lies and bullshit, that lasted only until the right wing propaganda sources created more controversy about transgenders in sports or Hunter Biden. At which time all the "liberal" news outlets started acting like Fox News to attract viewers.

That's some the dirty hypocrisy of it all. They don't want women to terminate unwanted (or in some cases unaffordable) pregnancies. Yet when these women are forced have these babies, then the GOP slashes the Medicare/Medicaid the mothers require to support these children. It's pure evil. And few teenage or early 20 young ladies have the support structure in place at home to enable the mothers to work to support the child, and herself, to raise a child to learn from his and her mistakes.

The GOP claims to have the (wrong) answer to all of life's problems while in Congress, they earn a minimum of $147k, the wife has her family earnings and everyone retires wealthy. Same thing with the 2nd Amendment and limiting gun restrictions for people with psychological issues. They want to blame Mental health (not the abundance of guns, then they slash budgets for Mental health.

Regarding Hunter Biden, he lied on the Form about not doing drugs when he obtained the gun permit. He shouldn't have or wasn't in the right frame of mind when he did it. He never shot anyone. He never lost his mind and publicly threatened to shoot anybody. By all indications, otherwise, he was the gun owner the GOP wants, without any psychological issues. The China and business stuff they're trying to get him on in The House is 100% bullshit. They look like completely incompetent fools every day. It's all illusion of a crime, but there's no crime. And none of it ties back to the President, who they "imagine" they should impeach because it's retribution for all of Trump's actual crimes. That guy is going to prison on one of the 91 charges. And there is just no way out of it short of him winning the next election and Pardoning himself, which the Constitution doesn't allow for doing.
