Part of the problem is that America is more than satisfied to get a "D" in Human Rights. And once they (barely) pass what they think is the final exam, they simply breathe a sigh of relief and go back to scratching thier balls and watching Spoiled Rich Bitch Weekly on E! After all they've givenen "those people" their inevitable dignity bread crumb (They can gay-maary each other, thanks to those unlected activist judges, which of course means that homophobia is is completely over now the end.) Haven't we as a society "done enough", doing the very least we could do for the ethical treatment of our fellow man and all? Anything more that minimal effort is just being "greedy."
