I've been fishing in Everglades National Park and after sunset the mosquitos are like a horror movie. We stayed there one time in a cabin, and when returning from dinner we would SPRINT to our cabin from the car. And we would hold our breath to keep from breathing them in. Hellish.
After sunset? We were on vacation and rented one of those little boats (Savannah skiff?) to motor around in the mangrove channels. We pulled up to a tiny dock (there for no apparent reason as there didn't seem to be anything around) as one of the guys had to pee. He stepped into the brush to pee and immediately came running out yelling "Start the boat!! Start the boat!!. Behind him was a huge cloud of mosquitos. HUGE! The cloud actually followed our boat for several hundred feet.
Disappeared. That's the word your looking for MSM. These people are deliberately disappeared. Just like in the worst authoritarian regimes. Go ahead and use that phrase too, because that is what we are.
Em and I have been watching Alien: Earth, and it is nice to see that incompetent idiots who think they know better than anyone else will still be doing a half-ass job and threatening all our lives well into the future out of their desire for power and control.
I was proposing to Em that it will turn out that the eye squid will turn out to be an old project from the Tyrell Corporation designed by David Hong's character ("I just do eyes, ju-, ju-, just eyes... just genetic design, just eyes.") and was designed so you could play video games with your cat or dog.

Hawley surely knows how to play well in someone else's sandbox. As long as you don't think too deeply about everything, it has been a heck of a ride so far. Still waiting to see what the hanging plant creature does. I figure that and *POTENTIAL SPOILER* the eye squid being sic'd on Dame Sylvia will be in the finale next week.
Also, the Actor playing Dame should be the President of All the Colonies in the new BSG reboot...she has that wonderful gentle energy Mary McDonnell has...
Oh, I think the eye squid wants Kavilier. Our working theory is that it always wants to be top dog and will work its way to that by hook or by crook. Kavilier is looking for someone to challenging him intellectually and thinks he can't find it on earth, but can with space squid, who will use that curiosity to trap him.
We are figuring that it will start out something like this:

The other is that she sees herself as its mother or she wants to be its friend or be the Xeno or be a rap duo with it. Kersh is encouraging her to be something other than human, and I think she will choose that path, but not in a way Kersh wants her to.

It won't be long before they will be "disappearing" people, killing and torturing people, the usual dictatorship things. Keeps the morale of the thugs high, their thirst for violence sated, and gives them a strong reason to prevent the return of democracy.
