On behalf of us (temporarily) handicapped people, thank you! I've been in a wheelchair for the last five months after a bicycle accident. We depend on the kindness of strangers just to get through a normal day.
Still better than here in Mexico, though people here are probably even more apt to just lend a hand than in Canada. I'm only in a wheelchair temporarily, but it was something of a hoot the other day going to lunch and carried up a flight of stairs to the restaurant by a couple burly waiters and then wheeled to my table by a busboy who added sound effects (beep! beep!, etc.) to my entrance. When I couldn't get in the door at the barber shop, the barber set up on the sidewalk. So it goes...
Better said - you obviously have more patience than me! Anyway, would have gladly, enthusiastically voted for Bernie if he was the candidate, as I did with Hillary.
We are all "temporarily abled." Used to teach kids with physical disabilities. We're all one bike or car ride or fall down the steps, and we're all getting older.
