That the school board is taking every word of ICE as gospel is extremely nauseating

I have seen the future and it is this.

And let that be a lesson to you, boys and girls. When you go to work, always always always wear your mask. If the public can identify you, we have to discipline you.

Sort of.

What an absolute mess this lawless militant organization is. And note this is just what we can see on camera.

That poor lady, she is right...it is not assured that he would make it out of detention alive.

And note that the thugs are kettling people at the courthouse when they're doing what's required of them to keep their "legal" status. This is because the propaganda Americans gleefully soak up about undocumented immigrants is false; there are likely not nearly as many undocumented immigrants as is commonly asserted. That's why people are being kettled; it's the only way to make quota.

Also again, if citizenship and "legality" are this fungible, it's essentially meaningless—it is entirely subject to the local bigotry of whomever is interrogating you. And that means with enough melanin one will have to be careful traversing many portions of the USA...especially the unreconstructed territory.

After they've deported all the dark skinned people they will focus on all other minorities.

Friggin racists to the core

Don't you like how they always leave off the second half of that phrase?

It is just a matter of time before ICE claims he is antifa or a radical leftist.

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

Well, you saw how he was dressed.

Oh, and the color of his skin.

ICE is very into the open cosplay thing. BTW, I am totally expecting to hear about multiple casualties coming out of Florida right now.

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

I'm glad Chump stopped bombing Iran. Those sleeper cells all the R's are absolutely terrified of could do a shitload of damage if they were dressed like ICE.

“the woman’s husband was arrested after he appeared at the courthouse for an asylum hearing,”

Unfortunately Republicans have convinced many people asylum seekers are here illegally, even though seeking asylum is a legal way to immigrate to the U.S.

ICE picking up people at immigration hearings is ICE going after legal immigrants, whose status has not been determined. They’re kicking legal immigrants out of the country.

It's anyone's guess if Trump even knows there is a different meaning of asylum, other than the mental institutions.

SethTriggs's avatar

He's illiterate but also has the certitude that comes from being an ignorant asshole. That's the same reason why he believes that water flows from Canada into Southern California.

There is no doubt that Trump has, for the entirety of his life, boldly claimed to someone who is saying a factual thing that they are wrong.

It's possible to imagine Trump telling his 1st grade teacher that her teaching of 6+7 equals 13 is wrong and that he should know, his uncle went to MIT and is a teacher there.

Here is the real reason for these goons acting badly: If you are working for ICE, you are a thug.

noun

1.

a violent, aggressive person, especially one who is a criminal.

"he was attacked by a gang of thugs"

This definition would be appropriate as well:

2. historical

a member of a group or organization of robbers and assassins in India who waylaid and strangled their victims, usually travelers, and stole their belongings. They were suppressed by the British in the 1830s.

But they are back in a modern iteration: Revived in the United States by the thug in chief, Donald J. Trump

They “finally” find a bad apple? That’s like saying Waffle House finally found a greasy spatula. Relieving him of duty instead of firing him is the punchline. Same with the superintendent: an Olympian, educator of the year, mentor to kids… ICE decides he’s a public safety threat because he forgot to cosplay white enough.

The whole piece works by holding up ICE’s absurd theater: brutalize grieving families on camera, then write press releases about “highest professional standards.” Arrest community leaders, then feed Fox a mugshot makeover to make them look scary.

It’s a police state, but run by people who couldn’t get cast in Reno 911.

Regret's avatar

They didn't arrest him for not cosplaying white enough, they arrested him for cosplaying white too much. They don't mind black people pretending to be white, but they don't want black people to be armed.

I saw one article somewhere about the prior gun thing. He said he was hunting in NY state somewhere and he some kind of fine that a white person probably wouldn’t have gotten. The explanation must have been long time ago as I don’t think he has made any public statements since his arrest. But it kind of adds up with the school board saying he had disclosed it and given an explanation that satisfied them.

Silly Guyanese, gun rights are for white people!

Biff52 Lost Canadian's avatar

Exactly why reagan implemented gun control in CA when he was governor. Didn't want the Black Panthers packin heat, ya know.

“has written numerous books and publications about educational topics including leadership, empathy and cultural responsiveness. He is passionate about instructional excellence, diversity, equity, inclusion and innovation in education.” Is the real reason he’s been arrested.

And the lesson is quite clear, America. If you are a person of color, do everything in your power not to be better than the lowest, dumbest yokel the Master Race has produced, or they will Fuck. You. Up.

Yep. I bet ICE targeted him based on a keyword search.

"After a viral video Thursday showed an ICE officer slamming an Ecuadorian woman to the floor outside an immigration courtroom in Manhattan, the ICE thug was “relieved of his duties” while the agency investigates."

* I assume that the ICEhole is suspended with full pay; heaven forfend a gubmint official might be deprived of their livelihood... oh, wait....

* Was the fact that the victim is Ecuadorian or a woman the reason for the suspension? I doubt it since no goon has been (temporarily) relieved of duty after manhandling peaceful protesters or elected Dem officials.

* > "He was then captured on camera shoving the woman and pushing her to the floor in front of her children and a crowd of photojournalists and federal and court officials." https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ice-officer-relieved-of-duties-video/

> "Do you feel like a man when you push her around?

Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground?"

"(Wannabe cop defense attorneys on Twitter insisted they saw her brush her hand against him, which means she assaulted him and should have been thrown far harder and possibly curb stomped for being a CRIMINAL ILLEGAL.)

What's the problem here? The "think they are lawyers defending poor LEOs for their actions" crowd have precedence on their side.

> "U.S. Representative LaMonica McIver was charged in a three-count indictment today for forcibly impeding and interfering with federal officers, [ex, disgraced, and disgraceful] U.S. Attorney Alina Habba announced.

[...]

During her continued attempts to thwart the arrest, McIver slammed her forearm into the body of one law enforcement officer and also reached out and tried to restrain that officer by forcibly grabbing him. McIver also used each of her forearms to forcibly strike a second officer." https://www.justice.gov/usao-nj/pr/congresswoman-charged-forcibly-impeding-and-interfering-federal-officers

Of course, none of the videos of the incident show it the way the DOJ claims it happened.

> "The indictment, which hit McIver (D-10) with three charges of assaulting or impeding federal agents trying to arrest Newark Mayor Ras Baraka on May 9, leaves out that Baraka had left the facility when ordered, overstates the moments of physical contact between McIver and agents arresting the mayor, and obscures that McIver’s actions were part of her federally authorized oversight duties as a congresswoman, the filings say.

Moreover, McIver’s legal team says, footage from federal officers’ body-worn cameras confirms her version of events. McIver has cited the video footage in court filings, but it has yet to be made public." https://newjerseymonitor.com/2025/08/21/congresswoman-charged-in-ice-jail-melee-says-indictment-leaves-out-key-details/

Most of this is old (fake?) news. The proof, beyond all of the news videos, is the body cam. You can bet your bippie that the footage will never see daylight without editing. Besides, who you gonna believe: a DHS propagandist or your lying eyes?
