So while in normal times inflation in a specific currency may be most strongly influenced by local legislative or fiscal policies, we are not living in normal times
So? The US is the worlds largest producer of oil. US oil production is down, as planned, by Biden Inc. That, and the embargo on Russia, will effect gas prices EVERYWHERE. Or does supply reduction by the largest producer have no impact in your play world?

Now, not so much, given Biden well publicized pressure on producers. Does supply shortage mean anything in your pretend world?
