Good dreams and sweet peace, nice lady. You have earned it by being you. If the humans on this planet are to survive, it will be due to men and women like yourself. You are (though I must respect your atheism) a token of G_d's love. Take that as you will.

I'd only make one change. You also need to consider whether a high-end felon is a danger to the community, not just a specific person.

About $1.1M if the $2M was paid by Mr. Pillow and Ricky Schroeder. The rest was crowd sourced.

I enjoy my usual two weeks there. Great sports, restaurants, museums, shopping, bars, people, other attractions and more. What kinds of things do you think make it a "SHIT HOLE?"

Here in Ohio, a person has to take 579 training hours beyond high school to become a police officer.

A teachers' aide requires a high school diploma or GED.

Well, it's something, but it needs more 'anti-police' aspects.

How about this old idea, which I've just now made up: Any time a police officer discharges a firearm not on a firing range, give that police officer a minimum of twenty lashes with a cat o' nine tails, while strapped to a grate, in public view, as a condition of continued employment. Double that if anyone was injured by the firearm discharge. Double again if anyone died.

Just as therapy, to suggest to the suggestible that shooting people is to be discouraged.

These villains like to act like they're a hostile occupying army. It makes them hard to love.

Your chance of being convicted drops dramatically if you are free. Everybody in the criminal justice system has known this for decades.

Ending the war on drugs would go a long way in curing a lot of our drug related crimes not the least of which relates to violence in Mexico, the U.S. and other countries that supply our drugs. Use those billions for drug rehab and mental health.

I may not believe in G-d, but I do practice Judaism. Attended the Shul Zoom/Purim party until my internet connection became so unstable that it kicked me out; I didn't log back in. Being vegan, I'm super Kosher, because I consume neither dairy nor flesh. I'm even learning Hebrew.

My prime directive in life is to maintain my personal beliefs without interfering in anyone else's personal beliefs. I practice a weird kind of neo-chasidism which reviles evangelism. If you are kibbitzing your neighbors about what they should believe, you are not loving them as you love yourself. From observing your lovingkindness, I believe I've encountered something of a kindred spirit in you, I just wish I could apply it as consistently as you seem to. I, too, am learning Hebrew....and Yiddish.

Yiddish was my parents' secret language. Ladino would be much easier for me, since I speak Spanish and Portuguese.

There are such in many places now. Google phrases like "community bond fund". I think one was linked to in the article.

They are big and dependable campaign donors. That's part of the problem.

I know about as much Yiddish as I do Spanish. Quite a bit less Portugues. I have a Chanukah CD, Rabbi Joe Black with the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band, Eight Nights of Joy, on which one of the songs is Ocho Kandelikas. Ladino sounds VERY much like Spanish. The music on it is nothing short of first rate. I find the Hebrew/Yiddish/Ladino(?) alphabet to be absolutely lovely, and I am getting better at writing it (though I'm right handed and would make a very poor scribe). The last place I lived in Salt Lake City was a little less than two blocks from the local Chabad Lubavitch Shul. I like their Rabbi a lot, but I often cringe when he airs opinions (he is very conservative), but I must respect Chabad Lubavitch's mysticism. Though not connected with that congregation, I share their mysticism. I wish I could find a Kippah that has Indigenous American designs on it, but it may be wishing for too much. Shabbos is over, and it will soon be time to retire (for the day, I've already retired from my work life). Sleep well and in safety, and (I hope you don't mind), may G_d bless your sleep with peace.

She's up to #28. I was following the series, but finally lost my taste for them. Stephanie wasn't really learning anything (IMO) and the constant "torn between two lovers" shtick was getting old. I do think it's funny that Morelli's actually the safer choice.

Ocho Kandelikas is a favorite of mine.

28!I think I stopped buying them when they were £13 on kindle for a book that takes maybe 2 hours to read and I know the story. Those early ones were absolutely brilliant.
