"The nation of South Korea has given America so many gifts — K-pop, Korean barbecue joints, the former first lady of Maryland, the animation for a couple of hundred episodes"

That damned Squid Game show on Netflix that EVERYBODY seems to be obsessed over

So basically South Korea has helpfully given us a glimpse of our future? And here I thought Squid Games was the best thing they could do for us.

It's fine to give our Constitution to South Korea. It's not like we're using it or anything.

Oh, my mistake reading the headline. OK, so I would encourage OUR impeached, impeached, indicted, indicted, Convicted Felon PAB to head to Korea and help his pal out. OK, I may have suggested North Korea, but to CFPAB one is the same as the other.

"Now, whereas the oath the American president takes says he will “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution,” the South Korean oath simply charges the president with “observing the Constitution.” Well, that’s pretty general. Maybe he’s allowed to observe it from a great distance."

And that ladies, gentlemen and enbies, is the problem with reading anything in translation. We don't know Korean terms of art and we don't know how rigorous the translation is.

Pretty simple. Since there was no large standing Army, allowing citizens to keep arms was the best way to insure that an adequately armed defensive force could be mustered quickly in the event of foreign invasion. It comes from English common law

We must never forget that the political situation in S. Korea is both our legacy and our future. We installed and supported the dictatorships in S. Korea, it was only the people's overthrowing the dictatorship that allowed the rise of K-pop, etc, and our future will likely be, like all the countries that had dictatorships (especially American supported ones like Chile, the Philippines, and S. Korea) continual relapses into similar despotic, corrupt regimes, like the one we're about to endure

Russia: Putin, NK: Kim. Venezuela: Maduro, Argentina: Milei, India: Modi, Hungary: Orban.

The list goes on and on and my brain is too fried at this point to write down more because like others are saying: this is a global takeover and has been planned, organized and strategized for decades.

A very bumpy ride ahead for all, I'm afraid.

I don't know if this all has been planned by the "RW global elites" or not, but Yoon Suk Yeol was about to throw the "script" in the garbage with his declaration of Marital Law in December of 2024. Yoon had "planned" to "invade" North Korea to justify his declaration of Marital Law. On the surface, this sounds insane. But my own conspiracy mind tells me that Yoon smells blood in the water. Why??? North Korea has been exposed in Ukraine for being so weak militarily. He believes that by taking advantage now, Yoon can end the Korean War once and for all, Kill Lil Kim, reunite Korea, and restore the Korean monarchy under himself.

I mostly blame Rupert Murdoch and his jaded grasp at wealth by capitalizing on hatred and ignorance for creating the current political climate in the U.S., which has been exported around the globe.

You can't blame Murdoch without also nailing his complicit white supremacists.

And I don't mean the ones running countries. I mean -- and everyone else who talks about this means -- the ones on the ground and who are everyone's neighbors at the grocery store (and no, I DO NOT mean just the MAGATs) who are buying what they're selling.

No psychopath, no narcissist, no kakistocrat EVER succeeds without a passel of enablers.

That's WHY all the propaganda.

I watched all of 20 min of Rivals. Rupert Murdoch (for all intents and purposes) purchases some BBC reporter and give him gobs of money. You can't expose the excesses of the rich if you are enjoying the excesses of the rich. Murdoch handed out the money but each person who turned their backs on journalism is complicit.

I like that word “zeitgeist,” because it describes but does not point to a cause. It could be anything from “monkey see, monkey do,” to a strange virus that nobody can capture. We used to attribute it somewhat to trade among widespread nations that brought ideas as well as goods to and from others. Now? If someone would only invent a near-instantaneous method of communication….
