Looks like the hackeratti have been very, very busy, this time releasing a whole bunch of email hacked from former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who it turns out was far more Mean Girl in his personal chats with friends than he's been in public statements about Donald Trump and several foreign policy matters -- including Benghazi and the handling of the Iraq War.
It is nice to see what Secretary Powell really thought, but this changes nothing of my view of him. Much of Powell's success is built on his near 40 year career of lying in the service of the Government. He was no more than a middling officer in the US Army until he went to Vietnam in late 1968 to cover up the My Lai massacre of March, 1968.He proved to be such a competent liar that his career in the Army took off, eventually reaching the rank of 4 star General. His skill at lying during the first Gulf war helped him become the Secretary of State.
