Here's one for the "what were they thinking?" files: Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is returning to active duty while the Army continues its investigation of his disappearance from his base in Afghanistan in 2009. He'll "probably be assigned a desk job at Fort Sam Houston in Texas" and will be allowed to leave base without an escort, which should be great news to all the Twitter Warriors who have fantasized about what they'd like to do to him, for being a traitor and stuff. We won't pretend to be especially expert in matters of military law or anything like this, but is this such a great idea?
Isn't he supposed to marry Morena Baccarin, run for Congress from Virginia, and then kill the Vice-President? Someone better give Joe Biden a heads up.
If he has any damn sense, he's stayed off the internet since he got back. (and will continue to stay away for the rest of his life, like quitting smoking only with more Amazon drones)
It was love at first sight.
Wait, sorry, that was chaplains.
Obviously the army hates the troops.
He'll be on duty in Texas. But when will he be allowed back in the United States?
Has anyone even told him about the reactionary lynch mobs out for his scalp yet?

I can't recall, what was Yossarian's opinion of Army psychiatrists?
Waiting eagerly for John McCain to issue his combined support and condemnation of this development.
