Not to be outdone at her own protest, and unable to attend the BAFTA awards ceremony in person, Fonda accepted her Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award For Excellence In Film (probably for Barbarella ) in a video, while she was being arrested.

Previously, Fonda has vowed to continue getting arrested in an act of civil disobedience for fourteen Fridays in a row, until she has to resume filming for Grace and Frankie, a very good Netflix show in which Lili Tomlin plays my mom:

"I'm going to take my body, which is kind of famous and popular right now because of the [television] series and I'm going to go to D.C. and I'm going to have a rally every Friday," Fonda said in an interview with The Washington Post. "It'll be called 'Fire Drill Friday.' And we're going to engage in civil disobedience and we're going to get arrested every Friday."

Good for her! Might as well use that privilege for something!
