Rokita, Paxton, and my state's resident moronic AG Andrew Bailey should all be put in a burlap sack and left on the shore at low tide...of the blue wave of votes, of course.

Book recommendation for those who can stomach it: "Undue Burden: Life and Death Decisions in Post-Roe America" by Shefali Luthra. Published in April 2024. All the stuff that most males and male politicians and asshole Supreme Court justices and forced birthers should have known.

Vote like lives depend upon it, because they do.

Ta, Robyn. I'm sure there are good people who are unfortunate enough to live in Indiana, the state from which cities like Chicago get all the guns with which to commit gang violence and other crimes.

As a non-provider health care worker in a FQHC, I have taken multiple trainings every year about protecting patient health information (PHI). ANYTHING that could be used to identify an individual, whether name, address, date of birth, driving license number, fucking ANYTHING, is prohibited from mention in emails, reports, etc. If I, an overworked and underpaid Care Coordinator for HIV positive adults, have to know this, so Indiana's legislators, health care providers, and anyone else with access to such information knows it is illegal release it to anyone if it contains identifying information. Such information can only be shared with those who are paying for the health care of the person in question. Throw the fucking book at them!

I have to go through Indiana to get to Chicago.

That's all I have to say about Indiana.

But who's going to pay the Doctor's legal expenses for this SLAPP lawsuit. How is she going to recover her reputation after his terrible insinuations? It's easy for him to say "Never mind." after the damages were done

Indiana voter here. The insurrection pushed me from right to left as I admit I leaned right on most policy. Shit like this just ensures I will NEVER vote Republican for the rest of my life as well as being ashamed I ever voted for these chuckle fucks to begin with.

Let’s hope Indiana voters have seen enough of their sadistic elected trolls to get reform on the ballot. Many thanks, Robyn!

“outlaws all abortions except in cases of rape and incest (up to 10 weeks)“

So, likely none then, especially in the case of incest. So. FUCKING! Gross. and so upsetting

Did Rokita turn red from embarrassment from the creepiness/stupidity of said lawsuit or from taking too many pills of Alex Jones Trucker Speed?

Is it both?

I hate that we need to keep banging the “incest, rape or the life of the mother” drum to get people to listen. Why can’t the fuckers just let people make their own fucking decisions about their own fucking bodies?!? YOUR GOD IS NOT EVERYONE’S GOD.

Good ol' Rokita never fails to make me incredibly embarrassed to live in Indiana.

Thanks Todd. Thanks a lot.

Same here.

I always go with living 'an hour south of Chicago'. It's too embarrassing to admit living in Indiana. We just bought a house in New Mexico and thankfully, will be leaving this creepy cult-State soon.

>> “Voices for Life,” an anti-abortion-rights group, has recently filed its own lawsuit to force the Indiana Department of Health to give it access to Terminated Pregnancy Reports (TPRs) again. Basically, they are a bunch of incredible creeps who think they should be able to personally review them in order to ensure that abortion providers are following the law <<

So, the anti-woman theocrat harassed a doctor for 2 years on the theory that she compromised patient privacy by discussing without identifying information an abortion required for a 10 year old rape victim, and are now using the courts to make public medical records of ALL people who access abortion, because spreading around the medical details of cases -- so long as you're not identifying the specific patients -- is just fine as long as people who hate women get to pick and choose the cases?

It's part of the continuum. They get to tell you whom you can marry. They get to tell you what gender you are, including, it appears, their absolute right to say that your birth certificate was wrong. They own your uterus. Etc.
