Before there was Marvel Comics, there was a character called Captain Marvel. He was a pre-adolescent boy named Billy Batson who followed a strange old man into an abandoned subway station (it was a simpler time) and was granted the mystical power to turn into Captain Marvel by saying "Shazam". Yada yada yada, Timely Comics becomes Marvel Comics and gets the trademark on "Marvel" but DC Comics owns the rights to the character. So DC can publish a comic starring Captain Marvel but can't use "Marvel" in its title. So they titled it "Shazam". Marvel on the other hand can't use the old-school Captain Marvel but *can* publish a comic with that title. So they came up with other Captain Marvels. Captains Marvel? Whatever. Our heroine above is the latest incarnation.Fun Fact: Marvel's Captain Marvel's civilian name is Carol Danvers. Supergirl's civilian name is Kara Danvers. Twinsies!

"As it turns out, they don't read you your rights, they don't tell you you could have an attorney, they don't tell you while you're there," Mr. Collins said in the interview last week. "It's just a 'We'd like to talk."

Isn't it a basic tenet of GOP belief that "If you're not guilty, what do you have to hide?" They didn't say come in and say GO directly to Jail, MF!!!
