Believe it or not, many things can be constitutional without being written in the constitution. If it isn’t written in the constitution that you can’t do it, there is no reason you can’t. There’s no provision for half the things the Senate and House do regularly, but they consider them rules. Filibusters are pretty regular anymore, they aren’t in the constitution. If the Republicans decide Trump is killing their party, they will find a way to twist the wording for removal to Trump.

Right now, they want a tax bill and a few other things to go their way. They are afraid of being primaried from the right over not being Trumpy enough. When those things are no longer important, you can bet on a unanimous Republican vote for impeachment and removal. Of course that may not be enough when Dems see Trump as the destruction of Republicans.

The constitution is not computer code, and our elected officials in either party are not afraid to twist the lines to meet their needs. I’m not guaranteeing his impeachment, but the reason given doesn’t have to match the constitution in sentence structure.
