As much as I hate that slimy, sociopathic, lying, Christo-fascist hack, it's possible that Injustice Alito isn't thinking about the boycott, but believes that the new anti-Bud nonsense is bad for AB stock and good for the other one. Of course, that isn't the case in the real world, but right-wingers don't live in the same reality as normal people.
Think we’re long past due reducing federal judges term from life to 10-12 years. We need to churn the mix to keep up with the changing society rather than entrench politically motivated dinosaurs.
Alito is an obvious wingnut crybaby, but selling a tumbling stock months AFTER it starts free falling due to highly publicized conservative culture war panic isn’t exactly the crime of the century. We have better reasons to argue for his removal, including The Big Lie flag and, you know, depriving women the right to choose what they do with their bodies. I also suspect his office leaked the draft Dobbs opinion, which was a strategy to prevent an all-out panic and violent protests. Leak the opinion, then feign outrage and pretend it’s “only” a draft, and surely of course no decision has been made yet, but here is a taste of what might be coming, so be prepared.
"Since August 14 of last year, Anheuser-Busch stock is up somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 percent, while Molson Coors is down somewhere around 12 percent."
that's some quality "go woke go broke" right there. 😂 always great when you see their goofball pithy statements going counter to observable reality. especially when it costs them actual real money.
There has got to be a better mechanism to remove Supreme Court justices that are obviously corrupt that Impeachment requiring an unobtainable 67% concurrence in the Senate. Just dropping the level for conviction to 55% would help but that requires a Constitutional amendment and that not going to fly in this partisan age.
Just make a code of conduct that is a law and start prosecuting Supreme Court members who violate it. They'd still be on the court, but having to listen to oral arguments through Zoom would at least inconvenience them. And Congress should also make a law say that in cases involving Supreme Court Justices the Supreme Court has no Jurisdiction, a power that the Constitution Article 3, Section 2, Clause 2 clearly gives Congress. " In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make."
Hmmm it sounds that Congress can make a Regulation prohibiting a Justice from ruling on a case where he has a conflict of interest.
I thought about buying AB stock based on the boycott, but ultimately I passed because their products are so mediocre in market where so much innovation is occurring elsewhere
I was forced to go to Target this weekend and it was packed. It appears they have also withstood the right-wing rainbow t-shirts nightmare. Which is strange because we're constantly being told that the haters are HALF or ALL of America. Handful of rabble rousers is closer to the truth. What a blessing that a member of the Supreme Court is one of them. :(
Even if you define "politically engaged" generously as people who vote, MAGA is only one half of one third of one half of the public (roughly one half of Republicans, who are roughly one-third of voters, who are roughly one-half of the general public). That would be 8.3% of the population, at best.
A brutal moral dilemma: Continue to whine about how expensive everything is as a rationalization for voting for the doddering stinking Nazi POS while punching yourself in the dick for not shopping where things are cheapest, OR risk seeing a rainbow and having your eyes melt out of your head.

When Ted Nugent, Kid Rock and Travis Tritt are your stock brokers, you got problems!
Happy to provide this public service:
"these guys all had to trade in their manly Morgan Wallen CDs for, like, Maren Morris or something"
Truly this beer is like making love in a canoe.
Fucking close to water.
Ta, Gary. Beer-like products.
I thought Brett K was hoarding all the piss beer anyway.
Democrats really need to push expanding the court unless both Alito and Thomas retire ASAP.

Apparently the marketing executive who thought up the campaign, lost their job. IIRC

Yes. yes he is.
I’m sure Alito’s stocks are held in a blind trust to avoid the appearance of any conflict OH Hell I couldn’t finish typing that without laughing
Where Homophobalito ends Treasonalito begins.

No Constitutional Amendment needed.

??? Are they making beer with something other than malt, hops and yeast?
Yes; as the Bud Lite box proclaims "Water, hops, barley and rice"
🎶One of these things is not like the others
One of these things is not quite the same...🎶
Yuengling uses corn as an adjunct, no one bitches about them.
Water isn't a plant!
Sure, all kinds of stuff. Cocoa nibs, blueberries, watermelon....

They're like the mighty mighty 'One Million Mom' whose boycott of Disney has so far failed to make even a teensy dent in their balance sheet.

There are at least 70 million of them. if they voted for trump in 2020, there isn't any question what kind of people they are
Target has announced reduced pricing on 5000 "essential" products, and that's terrible news for Biden.
